Healing Wounded Hearts
501(c)3 Non-Profit Faith-based Organization
Hello Friends!
Thank you for taking the time to visit Healing Wounded Heart’s website and see what we are up to and how we plan to get involved in our community!
I have been involved in Women’s Ministry for over 25 years; leading groups, mentoring hurting women, serving women with resources or simply coming along side them in their time of need.

Beverley Flohr
Now that I am retired and have more time, I have turned my efforts back to full-time women’s ministry. Over the years I have become more seasoned in my faith and walk with Christ and hope to model a strong commitment to Christian values. I want to share with women through the Christian Discipleship Program hoping to bring encouragement and compassion as they journey through life.
God has blessed me in so many ways despite some very lonely and trying times. As I put my faith in Christ I receive everything I need to live a life of contentment and peace.
If you know someone who is struggling perhaps this might be a place where they can find healing through Christ Jesus.
-Beverley Flohr
Healing Wounded Hearts History
In 1999 Healing Wounded Hearts began its journey by meeting at Spivey Community Church where it offered support groups and mentoring to the broader community, laying a foundation for its mission to assist women in overcoming personal struggles.
In 2002 Healing Wounded Hearts was officially established as a Non-Profit 501(c)3 Organization meeting in local churches.
From 2002 to 2004 Healing Wounded Hearts secured a location in downtown Jonesboro, GA where it facilitated small groups, counseling, outreach programs, successfully completing 15 twelve week support groups on a variety of topics along side over 100 recurring private counseling / mentoring sessions.
Between 2005-2012 Healing Wounded Hearts experienced downsizing due to the recession and transitioned to meeting in local churches to continue to provide support and services to the community.
From 2012-2018 Beverley Flohr, the founder and Executive Director of Healing Wounded Hearts, returned to the private sector due to insufficient funding, which impacted the organization’s ability to operate effectively.
In 2018 Healing Wounded Hearts was reestablished, operating on a smaller scale to adopt its resources while continuing to serve the community’s needs.
In late 2023, Healing Wounded Hearts reinstated its 501(c)3 status and announced the launch of its Christian Discipleship Program set to start in early 2025.
